Firefox in the Enterprise
A good read from Inside Firefox Blog about what’s needed for FF to hit enterprise mode. I’ll add(I think he covered it, at least partially), that the #1 important thing is the MSI’s, massive installations simultaneously, and massive control from a network domain controller. That’s what people like, click “Install” and it installs on a few thousand machines. Then set X as the homepage, and that becomes the homepage on all those machines, unchangeable. I know, not quite what Firefox had in mind, but something to move towards.
