Konfabulator
Konfabulator has been aquired by Yahoo!. This is just another example of tech breaking out of it’s old confines. Checking out Konfabulator, it’s very cool. I want something like this for web stats and CRM stats for my current employers. They’d love it actually. This has been mentioned on many other blogs.
In fact, the new Yahoo! Widgets page is up. Check out the Widget Gallery too. (Hat tip to Vasant for the link to the new Yahoo! page).
KDE has something like this, but it never really worked well enough for day-to-day use(not for me, anyways, the poor forgotten FreeBSD user).
But Konfabulator really looks good. I’m gonna definately check out the Konfabulator Workshop later and see what I can make from it. It looks like it is very much AJAX. They’ve got an Online PDF Tutorial too. Yeah, JS and XML based, very cool.
I’m wondering if XulRunner can be hacked to do something like this?
