Dawn of War

Sorry it’s been quiet. I’ll try to make some updates today. I’ve been busy, I got a new LCD monitor that kicks ass(8ms, 10ms rated by Tom’s Hardware Guide, much better than those 12ms monitors that clock in around the 30s). It’s the Hyundai L90D+. No dead pixels either, just some sleepy ones(one in particular, the others rarely pop up). The pixel comes to life after playing for awhile, but everytime it turns on or comes out of sleep mode it is there. But by the time a map is loaded, it’s gone. I’m definately going to be picking up another one, and when I get the money I need a dual-DVI out Video Card.

The one big problem, is Zend Studio does NOT have anti-aliased fonts or ClearType. This is because it is Java, but the new Java now has their own version of ClearType that works quite well. Completely needed for working, seriously, really, it is. Until then I’m gonna try to find what I can see what I can find.

I beat Fable, been playing Dragonshard, bought it earlier this week. It’s ok, it takes a bit of getting used to then it gets addictive, but it’s nothing you could play for Hours at a time. I also picked up Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War which is very kickass. It’s expansion pack, Winter Assault is making big news. Dawn of War is good enough I will be picking up the expansion pack, probably later today.

I also picked up a new keyboard, and new computer chair, and new LCD monitor(mentioned earlier), and now it’s easier than ever to sit at the computer for hours on end.

So today I’ll try to have some updates. I wanna get started on a tutorial or something really. I wanna do one that integrates with phpAdsNew, but has an intermediate JSON server, so that it can be used with other programs and custom stats libraries as well.

Asterisk 1.2 is gonna have to wait, I’ll try my hand at Realtime configuration at some point, but for now it’s gonna have to wait until the FreeBSD ports of Zaptel are moved over. Maybe not, but for now I’d rather wait.
