USDTV is done

Low-cost alternative to cable/satellite is done. USDTV today announced they’d be closing down operations. Ah well, I was kind of looking forward to getting it but they didn’t have any of the channels I wanted. I closed out my cable after it switched from Comcast to Time Warner, after my internet was down for a […]

Back on the bandwagon/Ruby on Rails

Ok, so it looks like I’m back on the bandwagon for a little bit. First rails 1.2, which isn’t as impressive as 1.1(although I may change my mind soon), and now Rails 1.2.2. Also, RadRails has had an update since last time I checked it out. I’m still trying to do some dev on a […]

New Theme

Yeah, it’s a new theme! Finally! Lush was cool but had bugs. That’s the best pic of me so it’s in sketch mode, lol.
And no, it doesn’t look that great in IE. Oh well, get a real web browser.

Adding a root cert for XulRunner

You can do it with just about any moz product, and the instructions are located over on the CACert wiki. Substitute your own certificate for best mileage though. Not sure what the distribution is on it legally, I know you can’t call if Firefox, but what if it’s XulRunner?
Ah well, one step closer, now […]

I’ve recently incorporated, you can go to the webpage for my new company, Engram9 Inc.. Not much there yet, but I’m adding stuff, hopefully I’ll get back to this blog and this domain and give it some much needed updates. I’m still providing the same services, and yes, it’s still just me.

Bon Echo Alpha 2 released. Check it out. I can’t wait for FF2 to come out, mostly because of the feature fallovers to XULRunner.

Dawn of War

Sorry it’s been quiet. I’ll try to make some updates today. I’ve been busy, I got a new LCD monitor that kicks ass(8ms, 10ms rated by Tom’s Hardware Guide, much better than those 12ms monitors that clock in around the 30s). It’s the Hyundai L90D+. No dead pixels either, just some sleepy ones(one in particular, […]

End of Technorati

Google has a new Google Blog Search out. It’s fast, it’s quick, and doesn’t have the spam problems that Technorati has.
Compare Technorati to Google’s BlogSearch. HUGE difference.
It’s not the same thing, relevance supercedes date by default, but even by Date has less spam than Technorati. It’s different, true, but man, it certainly seems to work […]
