DVG-1402S
Here’s a collection of my info for the DVG-1402S, c&p’d from stuff I’ve emailed people and posted elsewhere. I’ll try to update this as necessary. Feel free to post comments on this page to assist others as well!

It doesn’t send a date to the phone at all though, I don’t even know if my phones support it(Hmm, the support everything else, weird). It gets the time but that is set on the phone itself. I’ll reboot the router sometime today and get the exact details of what I had to do. (I need to get them anyways so I can do it whenever I have to reboot to begin with).
What did you have to do in Asterisk to get it to work on yours? I was pretty lucky setting the fromuser= in both sip and iax.conf’s and setting the callerid field. Right now I’m non-commercial so it’s only a few friends using firefly and me with my router, fromuser works good there. Incoming calls are coming in with proper ID(I have a few DID’s).

I got my DVG-1402S yesterday and after some problems setting it up, it works great! I’m currently using it with my own Asterisk server. I’ve got it set up to send Caller ID on incoming calls, and it sends it to my softphones no problem. However, the Caller ID isn’t being passed thru the router.
In the SIP Configuration - Server page, I have
“Caller ID Delivery” set to YES, but “Display CID” is disabled, and I can’t turn it on (When I change it, save it, and reboot the router, it switches back to disabled). Does anyone have any ideas?
I have the automatic Plugndial disabled, so I know it isn’t that(and my configuration remains proper in between reboots). Does anyone have any ideas? I know the Caller ID information is being passed as I am using simultaneous ring to two IAX softphones, a termination provider, and another SIP softphone on my laptop.
Thanks!

Doesn’t seem to help it. Didn’t know I could telnet in though, very cool.
When display_cid[0]=1 it still doesn’t come up(I ran “activate” after making the changes).
I tried
sip set VoIP caller_ID=1
and it gives me:
sip set VoIP caller_ID [0/1]
OK
but sip cfg shows that it is still 0.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot for your help

Spoke too soon, one of those things worked. I had to go into the web interface and restart the router again, but it’s working now.
display_cid is still disabled in the Sip Server page but it is working.
Thanks alot!

Purchase an unlocked DVG-1402S: from SipPhone.com. (I got mine here, u/p is admin/admin I think, something like that).

I’ve also heard you can install the D-Link S049 Firmware from SipPhone on a locked router and unlock it. (Defaults to going to SipPhone for Phone line). I’m not sure if it works or not. But, if you want updated firmware, you have to let it default to SipPhone and it’ll download and install the firmware within an hour or so normally. I do it on ocassion and reconfigure my DVG-1402S. I’m hoping it’ll kill some of the bugs. Again, I haven’t used the above firmware image, and have no idea how to install it.

If you’re looking to unlock the phone, see this forum post over at SipPhone. Thanks to linux@home for the link.
